Well....lets just say my friends have differant tastes in music. My guitar playing friend likes metal, my bass playing friend likes punk, and my drum playing friend likes....rap/alternative. I'm a bluesman. Anyway, I am forming a new band called the Vintage Blues Band. I don't know if I'll be able to get it together..... I intend to play classic blues. There's not many blues fans around.... I've been in two other bands, both of them went off in a direction that I don't want to go. Hopefully I'll be able to pull it off.
Sorry for rambling. I felt like telling some other muscians about my band expierience.

Sounds cool. :) I tried doing something similar (getting rock musicians together to form a blues band). Our classic rock songs sounded OK, but they had no clue when it came to blues and we bombed on Texas Flood. They started playing it with a rock feel and it totally ruined the song. So be sure your friends understand the meaning of "slow blues, 12 bars, quick IV, in G" before you get up on stage and play it for several hundred people.

Sounds cool Bro, blues styled music is very popular here in Chicago, put that blues band together and come play (reminds me of a movie, are you and your band trying to save a school from closing?) 8) :D
