Does anybody think that Fender guitars sound better through a Fender amp, or Fender amps sound better when a Fender guitar is being played through them?

I'm sorry. Does someone else make guitars and amps?

No seriously, you're not mistaken. Some guitars sound better through certain types of amps. Personally, I've always thought the Telecaster and '65 Super Reverb should be sold as a unit. No point in breaking them up.

Couldn't agree more. The '65 Super Reverb is the perfect amp for Fender guitars. And yes, Fender guitars do sound better thru a Fender amp. It's the way it should be.

I don't know, but I do know that when I play my Highway One Strat through a Blues Junior it's good, and that's very mid-pack equipment.

Well, I can't say for sure, but Fender probably designs their amps to sound best with single coil pups. I do know that playing a Les Paul thru a Fender tube amp doesn't sound near as sweet as a Tele or Strat.

The Peavey Classic series sounds great with a Strat playing thru it.
