I don't mind until they get a wild with it, some folks just don't have common sense.

I have loaned out an amp to friends. I don't have any Left Handed friends so my guitars stay with me.

Right now I'm letting our guitar player play through my old Bassman 100. As far as my basses and bass rig go, no. Those are off limits.

I don't loan my gear out, but I let my friends jam using my equipment at my house.

Not unless they play themselves and I trust them with my life... which is a category only a couple of my friends fall into.

There is just one rule in my house.

Read any books or magazines you want, just don't crease the spines or pages. Watch any DVD or TV channel you want, or play any PS3 game, or listen to any CD. Use my computer. Help yourself to food and drink. My house is your house. But if you touch any of my guitars or anything else with "Fender" written on it I'll be opening up a world of pain.

Rule applies to all, including partner's 89 year old grandma.

I don't mind as long as a)they ask first and b)they respect it. Of course I have a couple of high end custom shop guitars that I am extra careful with, but the gear was made to be played!

If you like used then you have to check out craigslist.

Loaned a amp to a friend before, he ended up buying it from me because he decided to play his bass through it and fried it.

Are you going to paint it in Day-Glo swirls? If I had one I would.
