HEY ALL,
BEEN awhile since I was here, about 5 years to be exact. I was a member but fell on BAD TIMES..lost my contract, had 4 heart attacks and a ZIPPER JOB and then my wife was diagnosed with MS so I've been a bit busy staying alive.

I am signed to ALLIGATOR RECORDS right now and am lucky enough to be playing with a guy I was friends with when we were the SCENE in NYC during the PUNK ERA 75-85...at least now we are NO LONGER called PUNKS but just BLUES PLAYERS !!!!
Though aging is beat the respect ya get from the younger bands and club owners and record companies makes it worth it.

I have a TON of TELE'S mostly VINTAGE and a few hot rodded ones, I tried and tried to play STRATS but could never get the tone I was searching for.....I found it in GIBSON:S....

BUT ALL my amps are FENDER"S and I just bought my first NEW amp since 1967......I presently have a Vibroverb, SUPER REVERB< TWIN REVERB a PRO REVERB, DELUXE REVERB, PRINCETON REVERB, VIBROLUX, and last but not least a 65 VIBRO CHAMP that I actually got in a box at last years AMP show in NYC.
ALL the rest are BLACKFACES except my SUPER REVERB is a DRIP EDGE 67 same circuit as BLACKFACE ,hand wired, point to point but first year for SILVER FACE
I just now picked up a LIMITED EDITION HOT ROD DELUXE in BLUE with the CELESTION 30 VINTAGE SPEAKER.....the BLUES TOLEX and chicken head knobs make it look great and it sounds like a keeper.

How could I not buy it when I traded 2 MELODY MAKERS and a few bucks for it.,....luckily I got there when I did as they had 5 guys waiting to see if I would show up by NOON as promised or they were gonna snag it up !!!!

APPARENTLY they made only 50 of these in BLUE....very nice LIMITED EDITION tag on the front.....

I also have TWO AMPEG amps....a REVERB ROCKET AND A GEMINI 2 both 30 watts and very similar to a DELUXE REVERB but NOT in price !!!!!

Well I wanted to pop in and sy HEY and look around and already I see some names I know...I hope to speak with you guys and get to know some of the newer members that we not here when I was before.

WEll I have to be in the STUDIO in 20 minutes and it's a 15 minute cab ride and I still didn;t eat or shower so I better get a movin.

I look forward to talking with ya later......going to see JOHNNY A tonight !!!

Enjoy your weekend fella's

St James

Do you remember him Chet? He may just have the time frame confused with all he's been through.

If it's who I think it is he has the wrong forum, but that's OK. He is a great guy and has a long musical history.

If I remember correctly James used always say: Punk is just angry blues.

A TON of Tele's  That would be like 220 tele's unless it's a long Ton for our English members then I guess it would be 246  Thats just a average guess but WOW
