Post subject: replacing a neck

Could you replace the neck of a guitar with a 25.5 in scale with a 24.75 in scale neck? That's 3/8 of an inch difference for the 12 th fret - right? Will the bridge have to be replaced too? Can the saddles be adjusted to compensate?

I'm not sure, but I don't think it'll work. It will have something to do with the distance from the bridge to the beginning of where the neck starts at the neck pocket.

What kinda guitar are we talking about here? A strat? A tele?

ya, I think you can buy short scale necks after market.Check warmoth,they have a good web site.Don't know if it will sound good though.
