I saw Los Lonely Boys a couple of weeks ago and Jeff Beck back in June.

Both were great!

Who have you seen lately? (bonus points for a review) :)

Buddy Guy should tear it up for you, he's good live. He might bust into one of his 20 mins solo while walking around the audience.

Allan Holdsworth when he was in town about 3 months ago, if it was really that long ago. I'm not too sure :? . It was a great show at a small venue. I had a great spot too! Spoke to him a little before the show, bought a CD, and got it autograph after the show.

If the small jazz club didn't count, the last big concert I went to was STP early last year. They came out an hour and 45min late... people were a bit angry. Ashes Divide and Filter opened, so that didn't help the mood. The singer from Filter was pissed because only 3 people seemed into their performance.

My last gig was July 14th, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. It was a fantastic night at Hampden Park, one I won't forget in a while. What surprised me most, was the amount of kids there. Rockin n Rollin with all the old dudes and dudettes 8)

Todd Rundgren in his "Arena" tour at the Belmont Theatre. Holds about 450 people, very intimate.

Definitely not prog-rock Todd. Straight ahead in-your-face Arena rock (hence the title). Outstanding show - Todd still can bring it at 60!

It was quite a while ago, but it was Alicia Keys with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
Simply Stunning. Comparisons to Ella, Etta, and Mahalia are not unwarranted. The whole thing had much more of a "big band" feel than a "hip hop" feel. I LOVED it. Audio Fidelity at the bowl is amazing. You can hear EVERYTHING.

I saw Jimmie Vaughan last week. I can't stop talking about it and telling people about it. Although technically the last gig I was at was one that I actually played at, but I guess that doesn't really count.

I saw Paul McCartney on July 18 at Citifield ( new home of the New York Mets ). It was a beautiful evening, the new stadium is much nicer than Shea Stadium ever was, I had floor seats ( $275.00 each ) that my sister paid for including 6 brothers and another sister and her husband and Paul put on a great , GREAT show. It started at 8:35 pm and ended at 11:30 pm. It's simply amazing how that man can sing almost non-stop for that long and still sound great at the end. He and the band played about 25 songs and for me the highlight was Paul by himself singing "Yesterday". Even though everyones heard it a million times, it's so special to hear Paul do it live. I hope he comes around next year ... and the year after that...etc

I saw Buddy Guy and his old partner Junior Wells at the Bottom Line in NYC in the 70's. Man was that a good show - Buddy was (is) quite a guitar player and Junior was a fantastic harmonica player & singer.

I have to agree about Buddy Guy, he is one hell of a blues guy. He did a number of solos throughout the preformance. He seemed to start a lot of songs and it didn't sound like he finished em, he just stopped playing and talked a bit and started another song. His walk up into the balcony while playing was a hoot. The last show we saw, was Bruce and the boys at the newly named Izod Center, instead of the new Prudential Center in Newark.
