Has anyone had any experience with the Fender Stage Guitar Case Stand? I'm looking for a stand that won't burn the nitro finish on my Highway One Telecaster. :D

They do make guitar stands that are safe for nitro finishes. I've even seen them state that. I've seen a few on the Musician's Friend website.

On the nitro finishes you really just have to worry about the stands with rubber contact points. Hercules stands should work okay, as should most of the stands that have the more spongy, porous type foam. The downside on Hercules stands is that the same little locking arms that hold the neck and keep it from falling can also ding or chip the neck if you are careless. I've always wrapped all of the rubber areas on stands in microfiber polishing cloth just to be safe though, even my Hercules. A lot of people use socks or any other type of cotton to cover the rubber areas.

The Stage Guitar Case Stand says it has a plush cotton interior so it should be fine. I don't think all nitro finishes are created equal though, the Highway Ones being quite thin and made to 'relic' more readily. You should contact Fender directly to see if they will verify since it is their case AND their guitar.

Hi notabag: I appear to have replied before either of them. Can I have your money please?
