yea i'm sure fender (the same fender mind you from whom it is so hard to get a replacement neck, for the purpose of protecting the name and integrity of our investments) put one of their associated brand names on an instrument with a major part made of plastic.

Is it possible that the shop hadn't removed the protective covering from it yet? I seriously doubt ANY guitar would have a plastic fretboard unless it's a store display model or toy. I say go back and double check.

I wonder if it had 4 coloured plastic buttons in the first 4 frets?

But not as sad - or as frequent - as watching somebody make a jackass of themselves online.

See if you can find which one of these basses has a "plastic" fingerboard.

Hilarious rebuttal btw. I'm not the ultimate expert by any means but I've certainly never heard of, read about, or seen a "plastic" fingerboard.

Oh wait, I take that back, my 6 year old has a bitchin Hannah Montanna guitar with a plastic fingerboard, maybe that's the one he was thinking of

In an effort to reduce costs Fender announces it's newest line of Precision Basses.

I dunno. Maybe plastic gives you exactly the right tone to play sessions for Disney Teen "Superstars". I should probably add one to the quiver. What model was that again?

Since he has tried to defend his remarks, I'm thinking that he just wanted to stir the pot. Either that or the people at the Gibson forum must be really bored ?
