After writing "Boy, am I glad that the Favre-Headache is now purple and gold coloured!" in another NFL thread, I see in the news that Favre has told the Vikes that he's not going to come out of retirement. The word comes from Childress himself.

We'll see what's in the news tomorrow.

How long this time?

In all seriousness: I know it's probably hard to give up something that you love to do. However, the Favre drama became too much. 8)

Just wait until a team has QB issues and then the circus will start all over again.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's just saying that to get more money from the Vikings...they need a 3 strikes rule, once you retire 3 times, you're out...but then again, maybe he's just not as valuable now that Michael Vick is available...

I too wondered if this was some bargaining position, but I guess Favre's been telling them for a week that he can't handle an entire year of the standard abuse.

Seems that he has that in the back of his Favre-mind.

When I read that Jackson got injured on the first day of training camp, I thought the Vikes would really start the begging and give Favre the keys to the kingdom.

But it's reportedly just a mild-ish sprain. His season isn't over.

BUMP

The Favre Masterplan accomplishes its goal today (starting 2 hrs from my typing of this). Revenge is sweet! I hope he enjoys it.

What a sorry sod.
