Agreed.

I stopped at all that Bret Farve crap. Although I may tune in every now and then to see Pat White play his rookie year

Why is that CAFeathers? I agree all of the soap opera drama is a little rediculous, but once the season starts, most of that will go away. Pat White will make an incredible NFL QB, I can't wait for him to take over one day.

Let's just say I have a differing opinion than the Commissioner of the NFL.

Understood. My favorite game is Disc Golf, but you won't be seeing that on any television station anytime soon.

I was finished with pro sports when the Suns lost a championship because of corrupt referees .I gave up my season tickets and swore never to get enthusiasic about pro sports again.
Vic is just an example of how bad its gotten.

He's reinstated but not back yet. He still needs to sign with a team. If any of them will have him.

In my personal opinion it's the fact that he was even reinstated.

I think the NFL is handling it the right way. If they suspend or ban him then he goes to the Player's Union. They lodge a complaint and it ends up going to arbitration or a court hearing which becomes binding. At that point it is out of the NFL's hands completely and, given what has happened in the past, there is a likely chance that the NFL would lose the case. Especially when it is brought up that the NFL is preventing him from making any earnings and all that teary sob story stuff. The double jeopardy defense would probably come into play as well. It could potentially set an unfavorable precedence for the NFL in dealing with misfits and criminals in the future.

This way, the NFL lets him return conditionally. There is a set of guidelines he must follow and if he does not then the NFL has grounds to ban/suspend him. It would make a Player's Union defense much more difficult. This also puts the onus on the individual owners. Many owners are most likely not going to be interested. (Even Jerry Jones has said no so far. ) If he does not get signed now the only argument that can be made is collusion or that he was blacklisted. This argument would be far more difficult to prove even under normal conditions. It would be near impossible to prove seeing as there are not many teams in the market for a QB who was an average thrower at best, is two years in prison removed from playing in the NFL, and would be a huge PR nightmare.

All that said, some stupid owner will probably end up taking a chance on him for minimum money. Just hope it isn't my team. I personally hope he never plays in the NFL again.

Patrick White will make and incredible QG  I don't think so he should have went the baseball route when he was drafted by the Angels. Patrick White is a running QB they never make it in the NFL. Some of his games he ran more yards then he passed. Against teams like the Ravens and the Steelers the run will get you nowhere and now the fins will have to deal with the Jet's in the Afc east and there defence they will be putting out there under Rex Ryan.
