same here.... i use garageband on my Mac G5 to record.... its a really nice tool if you're not too serious about putting a flawless piece with excellent audio... its just a nice program to give you good sound quality with an easy to use interface

Thanks, Tony, I printed off what you wrote. I'll take it to the Red House, put it with the BR600, and next time I record a new song, I'll try to expand my mind with working on this drum machine.

Again, Muchas Gracias.

Bill

Just wondering how your recording is going? Did you buy a bass guitar yet? I use a Squire P-Bass, got one for $119 used. These are really well made bass guitars.

I have a Rogue P Bass that is pretty and seems just like a regular P Bass. I put a US Fender precision pickup in it. It needs to have the action lowered. I am trying to buy a decent amp for it. I may try di-ing it with the bass amp sim in the BR600.

A guy (on the FDP) was telling me to record everything with the BR600 and mix and master with Audacity.

I am going on vacation for a week. If you reply I will look forward to reading that. Thanks for everything, Tony!

I saw that post, and may reply to it. I would try mixing, etc on the BR-600. If you record many tracks, you can't mix them in Audacity (I think). I feel it's better to mix in the BR-600 and use the MTK (Mastering Tool Kit) to polish the recording.

Also try the internal bass amp sims for recording, I don't own a bass amp and don't need one with the recorder. If you went to a recording studio, 9 times out of 10, the bass player records D/I.

Have a great vacation. Where are you going?

Hey Thouston! Glad to meet you here! I see that you are still having fun with the BOSS hardware. Cool!

I no longer use Tascam recorders on my side. Now I work with a DAW. An intel iMac, Logic Express and Focusrite Saffire Le and Saffiire Pro 10 i/o firewire audio interfaces are my new toys. Man I don't regret that move!

Oh and BTW I use believe it or not a Roland product! A TD3-KWS V-Drum kit and it is rrrrrrrrrrreally good!

Anyway I'm happy to see you here!

Cheers!

Rene
