Okay, who is your favorite famous guitar player who was at one time with the Yardbirds?

That would be Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton.

For me, it's Page, but I think Beck is better technically

(how does he do that with his fingers!?!?!?!?)

Lol.

I was going to try to be really esoteric and say something like "Chris Dreja", but actually it's Jimmy Page for me too.

If my math is correct, I'd suspect that he developed those skills across a good 50 years working at it a little bit at a time.....

Why would you leave out the guy before Clapton?

And include Dreja too!

I think Jeff Beck has become the best of them all!

Technically Beck has past them 20 years ago and is probably the greatest living player today. Song wise it is a dead heat between Page and Clapton. Page has been the master of the riff forever and the stories of him playing sloppy have almost taken on a larger than life stature. I have seen ZEP and yes sometimes PAGE could be sloppy but I really believe a lot of that had to do with his guitar slung down below his balls. Go ahead and try to play like that. Then watch him sitting -perfect. Clapton has always been perfect in my book .Gave up the gunslinger mentality in his twenties and always played for the song. Plus he became an excellent vocalist and writer and is on his 5th decade as a major star how many people can say that. Depending on my mood I love all 3 the same and where would music have been without them.
