anyone plays guitar with drumsticks too?

I've never thought to try. I did see a movie about a kid that did something similar though. I think it was called Augusta Rising or something like that. Do you fret the notes or chords while you hit the strings with the sticks or do you use the sticks like a slide?

I have seen Buddy Guy to that many a' times.

The drummer and bassplayer in a jazz band I played with in the 80's did a bass solo that way. The bassist fretted the notes while the drummer struck the strings with his sticks. It was pretty cool and the crowd loved it.

sometimes I use my Ahead drumstick which has steel grip as a rough slide....
