Daydream Believer and Last Train to Clarksville, requested for an upcoming gig. Not brain surgery, but it's what I'm working on. And i like the Monkees alright, so it's easy work.

Tears in Heaven finger picking style. Im a noob so this one's teaching me a lot. Want to take a stab at Before You Accuse Me. I thinks that's another song that will get me up to speed.

If you are a noob now, you won't be by the time you get Tears down. Beautifull song but not the easiest! You Accuse Me should be easy after Tears in Heaven. Blackbird by the Beatles is another song that is fun for fingerpicking and easier to learn. Keep on pickin!!!

I'm trying to figure out all of the changes in a song called "Orange Colored Sky" by Natalie Cole (maybe others too?) that I need to learn for an upcoming function gig.

The *very* few I've seen posted on the web don't sound right and are missing a few passing chords.

This song is a tough one....but the gig pays well!

Fun Lovin Criminals have a swing version of it on their mimosa CD.

Glad to see theres a lot of appreciation for Ronnie Wood. I was beggining to think i was the only person to like him.

Tdanb I'f you think the titles funny i'll try and dig a copy of the lyrics out.

"Old Man" by Neil Young. Challenging for me...been practicing that song for a few weeks. Trying to get better at hammering notes.

Currently working on two of my originals, trying to get them ready for recording by August 7th, which is a bit of a challenge.

Outside of that, I feel like my blues chops could use a good workout so I'm attempting to tackle SRV's Texas Flood, El Mocambo version. I rarely ever try to play pieces exactly as they're played originally, but it's a good learning exercise so I started this afternoon. Got about the first 30 seconds thus far.

I'm in a Jazzmaster surf phase right now, bouncing back and forth between "Pipeline" and the James Bond Theme. And I usually quote a few phrases from "Walk Don't Run" and "Hawaii Five-O" for good measure. I still can't get my tremolo picking to the point where I'm happy with it. :?
