I'm reading another book about Woodstock, and Santana reminisces about how the lunar landing was on his birthday and about playing Woodstock so soon after that date.

I talked to Carlos on the phone once. My friend Dave Workman http://bluzgruv.tripod.com/ is a good friend of Carlos. Dave came back to Columbus to play a blues fest and asked to use my Cyber-Twin.

Santana has two Cyber-Twins and while I was with Dave, Dave called him at home to ask about a preset that Santana had created in the Cyber-Twin. I could barely mumble a few words to him, I was so excited.

He was o natural, just down to earth talking to me :) .

It's Dave's Dumble head that Santana uses live and on albums.

He's just not that much into gear. The only time I've ever heard him talk about gear was when PRS introduced the Santana SE, and how he wanted guitarists to be able to afford a PRS guitar.

And it's his spiritually that has gotten him over the rough times in his life. He did tell me, to accept myself, in other words to accept my tone , and once I gave up trying to sound like Jimi, Buddy, B.B., SRV, etc, etc, it freed me, musically to be me.

I just love him to death.
