Hey fenderists!

I have had my black acoustic Fender CD-60 for a little year now, and it was the first guitar i have had as a guitarist (have been playing for almost a year). I was wondering how i could decode the produciton number, into a date of production and something more? could any of you guys tell me how to decode a production number of a fender guitar? I would like to have it in the back of my head, if i see an old scratched up fender at a yard-sale, with some idiot selling it, not knowing the value (if it would be a vintage fender guitar)
