Yep.
It's 12:00 midnight in England now, if I'm not mistaken--the U.K.'s five hours ahead of the U.S., right? xD
Anyway.
He'll be 62. :P

Haha, that's awesome!! :P I've never heard of that one--by Hendrix or by Brian doing a cover of it.
I'll definitely look it up as soon as my speakers start to cooperate with me. :D

Hi Khash, it was May covering Jimi, I heard it on Alice Coopers Vault Classics it is part of his syndicated radio program. I had never heard it either ,it is by Brian May ,not Queen ,and I think that the album has guest performers like Jeff Beck , Robin Trowler but I maybe wrong about that

Ah, yes, I figured it was Bri's solo work. He had his own band, the "Brian May Band", and he had a few solo albums. One of them was titled "Another World", which "One Rainy Wish" is on.
I really would like to get my hands on a copy of "Another World", as well. :P

62!!! Wow, does he still play guitar?

Do you think in another 20/30/40 years there are ever going to be guitarist as influential as the likes of May, Clapton, Hendrix, Gilmour, Angus Young etc etc etc etc you know who I am talking about.

I know these guitarists will always be remembered but will anyone ever take there place, and I mean really take there place, I am talking guitar players that would have the same impact as these guys.

Technology has certainly advanced in getting music around the globe and onto people's computers, stereos, iPods etc etc, but how lucky would it have been to see these guys play live knowing that almost no one could ever be as influential in the music industry.

Is the influential change on the guitar fading out? Are some of the greatest players going to be the only known influences on every kid who will ever pick up a giutar and learn how to play, I sure hope not. I just don't know if anyone can have such an impact on music again.

(Edit: Sorry this reply is so late--the forum wouldn't let me post on this thread for the longest time. :()

Haha, yeah, he still plays!! :P
He and the rest of the Queen +Paul Rodgers band got back from their European tour not too long ago to promote their first new studio album in many years since Freddie Mercury passed on. The album's called "The Cosmos Rocks", if anyone's interested.

Yeah, I worry the same thing.
At the rate today's crappy music is going, I don't think anyone will EVER be as influential as the Guitar Gods we know of today.
