Cool Christmas song Mike. Had me thinking about Terry Kath again. You remember the musical "Grease" was about Taft High School I'm pretty sure the writers went to school there and so did Terry Kath. The girls there were really cute so we would get a car load of us greasers ( although I much preferred juvenile delinquents or rocks because back then we were hard heads lol) and cut the last class at Maine South (about 4 miles away from Taft) so we could be there when those girls got out of school to make some progress if you know what I mean. The good old days although the hang-outs, Mama Canelli's Pizzaria and Parse's hot dog stand are closed I still remember those kids and their hot rods from the dances every weekend and the Drive-in theater, fight all the guys and kiss all the girls.
A happy merry back at you Mike

Great videos guys. Hey Rollie, did you ever go to Skip's Drive-In on North Avenue?

Marky, you remember Skips in Melrose Park? I believe that is where Ray Kroc got the idea for big macs or maybe it was Big Boys in Niles although it could have been Scotts in Morton Grove/Mount Prospect or Bon Bons in Norridge across the street from the H.I.P., they all had their version of the same sandwich. Skips was the place to hang out and drag race down North Ave. to Russell's barbecue. Kiddy Land is gone but the race track is still there. Super dog is still popular really the only drive-in left no more cute car-hops on roller skates though must be an insurance issue.

I was a regular at Skip's. I can say with all honesty that I never lost a drag race on North Ave. I went to Big Boys a lot, too. That was on Oakton, right? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was. So long. Good times!

You gave me a smile Marky ! Big Boys was on Dempster and Harlem now called Kappy's. I miss those Big Boy burgers and those Brawny lads with the big slice of raw onion. Funny story from Big Boys, a lot of cute girls hung out there too. One lets call her Barb that I had broken up with (for another lets call this one Cindy that I met at the Holiday Ballroom) was a bit mad at me. I was busy with Cindy and absent from the usual spots for about 3 weeks when some of the guys saw Barb with her friends at Big Boys and asked where I was and she told them I shipped out to Vietnam and was killed in action so the guys went to my parents house to give their condolences and freaked my parents out. That was awkward trying to explain that. H3ll hath no fury Brother.

 That's hilarious. I'm sure "Barb" wasn't too happy but still, I can picture how that unfolded. Awkward, OMG, I don't know how you're still here to talk about it, but I'm glad you are. Too funny!

I thought it was a good memory and something that you can laugh about now. I have some of those but we won't get into them, right now. Nice Ventures Christmas tune, thanks!

I'm glad that Sean got his vocal abilities from his dad and not his mom (John & Yoko)...
