Here we have Quebecer Steve Hill who played alongside names like Guy, Charles, Vaughan, King, and alike.

Steve is amazing! Good thing his techs are good too. (guitar swap)

Glad you liked Steve, Mike. He’s usually a one man band that does it all well, I don’t know what they put in the water or the wine in Quebec, but (partially out of Francophone need, preference, and government funding) they have a thriving music industry that borrows from both European and American/Canadian influence, and the end result rocks.

Some really good posts here. Still ROTFL from Chris Squire. Funny guy. Loved the bit where he saw the gig’s lineup past the restaurant window allowing him to pay for dessert.
Thanks spacewolf, mud, and Mike.

Here’s an idea Fender. I could have used one when we hooked up to converters for beach parties back in the day. :P

That solar powered amp would be great out here, FSB. I'll have to look into it.

Thanks, Mike, for the NAMM video. The line up looks pretty cool with lots of colors.

Lots of possibilities for sure, Marky. Pretty sound idea. :P The only problem may be that the instructions might be in French. That’s okay though. Plenty of members here that can work that out.

Here's a follow up to the solar powered amp. This set up looks very doable:

Good followup, Marky. You must have been reading my mind. I was thinking the same after my initial post. Nice catch on that vid. That looks to be a decent alternative.

The only thing I would do is build something like a shoe box, top it off with the solar panel, make a lower storage area for the cables with the alligator clips (maybe, use excess room for spare batteries or a guitar cable or what have you), add a top like a shoe box that can protect the solar panel when transporting and have it do double duty as the base (like a shoe box). Then I’d finish it to match one’s choice of amps. Maybe, add latches or clips and a handle to carry it. I think that would be a fun project. Or . . . we could box up a generator.
