Check it out, she's like Taylor Swift but with musical talent. seriously though check out the guitar solo.

Like her or not, she's made a ton o' money:

"Salary and Net Worth 2018. Orianthi Panagaris estimated net worth counts $65 million earned through successful music career. Orianthi has predominantly amassed her colossal fortune through multi-million record deals and concerts. Jun 10, 2018"

Oh I like her a LOT. I am surprised she has made so much money though. Not exactly a household name in the US. She was going to be one of the guitar players on the Michael Jackson tour that never happened. Thats how I even know who she is. She absolutely KILLED the solo from "Beat It". This girl has chops.

Just catching up here. A lot of great posts.

Nat: Trower was good, and I agree with Mike that your vids are too. Slick pickin’ on your songs. Nice!

ghost_of_strings: Whiplash video, great. I agree with a lot, and disagree too. Tuning drums? I’ve played strung pigskin, to military, to tympanis, to timbales and bongos, to traps, to a current Brazilian Street Can. I’ve tuned most to a key, and can tell you every drum doesn’t necessarily sound right to a key IMHO. Some better than others. Having, alongside the Guess Who and other local musicians, saw Rich live twice, sat next to Cozy Cole, a collection of Krupa, Rich, Morello, Bellson, Jones, Blaine, Blakey and various genre recordings including many other percussionists in and off to the side of the spotlight, formal training, jamming with big bands, played in trios, and playing rock and dickering with Latin, I and many musicians, including the great Neil Peart (Buddy’s favourite modern drummer), and other big band and rock drummers would disagree about this video’s take about Buddy’s greatness while agreeing about his perfection and well known crap demeaner. There is no best. Equal or better in some areas maybe. Style is not the same as perfection, and it is the style that many confuse with better or best. Ringo versus Moon is an example. According to this video, promotion makes you a lesser drummer or musician? I have one of the only recordings where Krupa and Rich played solos against each other and together where you have to decide who is playing because the album doesn’t tell you. Style gives clues, but it’s not always clear. Trust me when I say he is the best at what he does. Others may be great at what they do. Jealousy works on either side of the fence. The teacher on the phone says his students mention hip hop with jazz drumming. Really? That’s pretty original. How about Afro Cuban on one hand and rock on the other throwing in a little jazz technique. That’s old school. They probably think shredding is recently new. Today, as with guitars, musician’s tools and the learning curve have come a long way. Faster and, perhaps, better results happen today. But, the essentials remain the same, and originals like Rich set the standard and example on which to embellish, just like Les Paul and Chet Atkins, and those who followed. Best for their time. If you want drummers, look to Tito Puente and his friends, and don’t pass up Surf. Oh, and favourite doesn’t have to mean best. :P Rich is only one of my favourites, and he is unique amongst his peers.

Orianthi is said to be a pick of Santana’s to fill his shoes on retirement. How’s that for endorsement?

SBLS: I Dream Of Jeannie. Yep, I did. Thanks!

Mike: Good bits with Brian Setzer. Thanks!

As for Nashville Sneakers, that was a treat. I almost bought a 70s Cougar XR7 until I found the carpet was an added expense. Bought a Charger down the street. Bohemian Rhapsody. Nicely done.

Mud: Gotta love that amp. Do you think I could get it in the trunk of my car?

Caught up. Phew! :D

Joe was great, Mud. Thanks. My Strat looks like that, it sounds great, but it sure doesn’t sound like that. I wonder why.

Excellent, Mud. I’d like to have that goodie to hang next to my framed Buddy Holly ‘Rave On’ 78 (Buddy only had two of three albums released while alive and not all songs were 78s). I used to have 500 hand picked 78s, but then they got to be too much to move and store. Now I have a box full that I inherited, and have yet to go through. I have a mint 12 inch embossed paisley Little Nipper RCA 78rpm that I recently mounted, but unfortunately it was hard to see the detail in the frame. Ya just never know what you’ll find amongst those old records. Hanging a USB doesn’t have the same charm.

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in Funnee Videos because Tommy is pretty humorous as he talks about his learning guitar experiences. Hope you like it.
