Great podcast on Vince Gill, Mike. I liked when they said the steel guitar was one of the most difficult instruments to learn. I found that out. I never got the hang of my uncle’s, but later discovered it can’t be tuned like a regular guitar. I thought the correct setup was out of tune.
Willie is always good and that vibrato in his voice is crazy good. There will always be only one Willie.

Here’s he is again. (video is delayed):

Just goes to show you the impact Country can have. I think I have it figured out about the hookup of Cordozar Calvin Broadus (Snoop) and Willie. They both have something other than music in common. Both have a satellite radio station. They also apprently love Amsterdam.
Actually, it’s Snoop’s thing to want to pair up with different artists . . .

Great post, Marky. George Harrison's While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of those songs I can’t get out of my head in a good way, and that performance is one of the best tributes ever. I am a fan of Prince, but I dunno, maybe it’s just me, or does anyone else’s think that he did a little bit of hot dogging at the expense of his mates? Good though. :D

I actually found this after my comment above. Looks like others thought the same. Here’s George’s son:

nah, that was Prince being Prince (or "The Artist"). Those vocals though .... wow. They both sounded great.
