Some great stuff as usual are hitting this thread.

Spacewolf. Christ Vs. Warhol - Cross of Lorraine was interesting and enjoyable. Thanks!

Malegueña is a song long played on my long gone 12 string and now on my acoustic 6. It’s something I noodle with changing or trying to perfect it to be better. Justin Johnson and his band did a fine version. Thanks, Mike.

Another good one spacewolf. Please Never Die reminds me of the 60s. One of the first songs I learned on the Strat was this one (yeah, I know - The Monkees, but I still play it because I can).

Then these two have a little of a similar vibe IMHO:

Those weren’t great examples, especially tempo wise, but since I’m old and forget the one that most resembles my comparison they’ll have to do.
Besides, talented Tess and Andrew do a great job on their own, and they really don’t need a comparison. Yes I did like it. :D Thanks for the post, spacewolf.

You're welcome as always, my friend, I'm glad you liked it. I liked those three you posted too. I haven't listened to the first two in too many years to count, so it was good hearing them again. That was definitely one of the Monkees' edgier songs. I had never heard of the Knickerbockers before - not the band, anyway - and I wasn't sure what to expect, but that was pretty good too.

You're welcome again, I'm glad you liked it. The lyrics in that were what caught my attention originally. That's not a topic you would expect to hear an American band singing about.

A bit of Rock and Roll history. I truly believe that, like many mismanaged bands, the Knickerbockers were one of Rock’s great under appreciated bands. These guys were almost too good with their musicianship, as has happened before and after. I’ve included some info about them, and you’ll find these guys were also top notch performers with connection to The Righteous Brothers, MoTown, and more.

In my heavily English Canadian town, many of my native English school mates, as with other Fab Four fans, took to the Knickerbockers either believing them to be the Beatles or an alternative with this song of which you may be familiar:

The story behind it all:

Now ya know. :D

Great song that some people (like me) still play to this day!

Joyner Lucas- I totally get it, Marky. Pretty raw and impressive to say the least.

IMO this is a far better way to react on an even playing field with sensible open and free dialogue that should occur so often that issues become non-issues and everyone stops seeing themselves as victims and more as a team to win that game of life. Kanye tried and failed. After all, you can’t go back and win the games that have passed by. We can move to try to reach the championship, however, and that video was like locker room pep talk.

Sadly, there is another side to HipHop/Rap that is Gangsta related. Unfortunately, that flimsy crap and it’s organization or lack of poisons the genuine good in the genre. I’m not about to debate it, but the history supports the dirty deeds whether directly, indirectly, or just as a spin-off by misunderstandings and/or morons with greed and anger, and rap and it’s culture needs an overhaul in the more positive less volatile direction. As it stands, it doesn’t improve society nor does it improve rap’s image. IMHO. To say some hip hoppers and rappers don’t influence violence is like saying out of hand protests don’t break windows and Roy Rogers didn’t promote cap guns.
