This thread is really rockin’, Mike. The Train Keeps A-Rollin’ right off the rails! Great post.

Eldamar - I liked it spacewolf. Sounded like a spacelike Celtic composition on steroids.

As for the first chords that Knopfler learned with the downstroke, I think I know where he might have gotten them from (after all he said he was into folk music). I knew this because I was taken by it in the beginning too. :D
