Yeah, the PETA 'tards finally got their way.

Another icon of Americana passes into history.

The circus was fun, a learning experience like no other.
PETA = perjurers extorting taxes apocryphally

I remember when my Dad took me to see the famous lion tamer Clyde Beatty. I was hooked. Later I saw the scars on Tarzan the lion tamer. His assistant told me that as brave and strong willed as he was . . . after the performance was a different time of reflection. I also remember going with my uncle to ride the elephant at the great Detroit zoo. Then there's the great work done with the Shriners and the circus. I'm guessing that Circus Soliel also had some influence in the changes. I think we'll survive, and I hope those Russian bears do too.

How about some Kinks to stir the political pot......

As poignant now as when it was released in 1984.

Indeed, it is a great version, Mike. Thanks.

Living On A Thin Line (The Kinks) - Good stuff, Arjay. Yeah, it seems the farther away we get from issues it seems the closer we get to them again as music and lyrics are there to remind us.

Then again some things are best left behind:
