Absolutely cool, Eroot64. I kinda agree with you that the tapping technique may have come in earlier times. Look at it this way. Stringed instruments have been around for centuries. Hard to believe that they didn't experiment somewhat with different techniques, and music teachers weren't always available to teach standardized practices back in the days. Also, what's old often becomes new again. Then again . . .

Thanks, for the post.

Great post about a legend, Mike. Thanks, for that.

Big Daddy ruled in my neighbourhood when I grew up. His art was seen all over the local stomping grounds from graffiti, t-shirts, to school books to krazy copycat magazines and comics amongst the hot rod literature. I not only am a fan, but I have a connection. :D
We had a free newspaper at our high school and it needed some promotion to increase customers.

I came up with the idea of starting a gossip column (similar to TMZ) with humour and stories or rumours about classmates and teachers and what was happening in and out of school. Relationships came and went and no one was out of bounds. We did have scruples though. It was kept light and harmless, and my name and picture was a take off (just as the rat fink name preceded Big Daddy)(sorry Ed, but thanks).

It was to be a temporary column that kept my identity incognito. Only close trusting friends and associates from a cross section amongst dweebs, jocks, and everyone in between were my spies. It was a bigger success than anyone expected, and a suggestion type box was made available. No one, except my partners in crime, ever did find out how it worked; but, there was a lineup to read the trash before anyone else. After all, who made it into the column and what secret did one have from the weekend? 8)
Long live Rat Fink and Big Daddy's legacy.
