"A CONVERSATION WITH A STRANGER"
The other day I was visiting my oldest boy's shop; One of his customers was having some exotic fabricating done to his vintage car. As I was admiring the old car, the customer introduced himself to me as the owner, we proceeded to have quite a conversation. We talked at length about his car, and how knowledgeable my boy was. One topic led to another, and the first thing I knew we were talking about music and guitars. I was really taken away with his knowledge in general on the combined subjects. In fact he was leaving me in the dust when we spoke about guitars and rock and roll. We talked a lot on the subject of 60's and 70's bands that we liked. We must have talked for about an hour. When my boy was finished with the project the guy said nice talking to you and went on his way. I mentioned to my boy that I had enjoyed the conversation, and asked where he knew the guy from. He kinda laughed, and said, don't you know ho that was? With a puzzled look on my face I said no, should I? He laughed, again and said that was Tom Sparks from BTO. I replied with no, your kidding. It's a small world and sometimes the most unassuming people are the ones with a genuine story and they choose to keep it to themselves. To think that for a while I was in the company of what I would consider Greatness and dident even know, it's overwhelming. A good thing none the less. Had I known I probably would have made an a#$ out of myself.
