Some really great ones have been posted.

FWIW, if you have Audacity, or another recording software app on your computer, you can record audio to anything that comes through your computer's speakers.

It comes through the soundcard's mixer, so open your machine's volume control, make sure levels are up, if you like a youtube clip or anything, just hit record (mixer input) and you've got it!

Whoops!! sorry folks, I've just noticed that on the you-tube site, beneath the video, some offensive language was being used, so I have removed that particular vid and replaced with another.
I'll have to watch out in future, that one slipped under my personal radar.
I'll keep the same song but it's a still picture, mmm, never mind. Ill still try and link the thread though.
This is ' Broadsword ' by Jethro Tull.

They deserve a real one later.

Then let's give it to them!

You'll agree there's a certain vital Jethro Tull element missing from that vid (in addition to the amplifiers) - you know what I mean!

Howzabout this classic CLASSIC live performance from the Isle of Wight festival in 1970? If this ain't showmanship I don't know what is!

On paper, that's a musical formula that should never work... :D

How 'bout some Dixie Dregs

My friends used to make fun of my albums, until they had a listen that is.

Steve Morse and co. are something else

Hey Ceri, that was at Glastonbury I think. Did you see them last year ?
Oh man!! it was brilliant, they had all the bass players on stage that were appearing there that day. Ha ha woah man, like nine bass players on stage and just a drummer and they were having turns at taking the solo on. You know like guitarists do ? Fantastic.
There's nobody quite like those guys.

BTW: off topic for just a second - I was up in your part of the world last weekend. I'd been wondering whether to try to russle you up for a drink or something, but I knew I had a heavy weekend (working on my late father-in-law's house, which we're trying to sell) and wasn't sure I'd get a gap. And that's how it turned out, I'm afraid.

But sometime, eh? I'd be honored to meet the great gentleman!

Anyhow: back to YouTube. Here's a vid I enjoy of German guitarist Thomas Blug playing his number Stratking:

Hey Ceri, that sounds like a great idea and one day yes!! we'll have to do it and maybe give a shout out to the Ninja and Snowy too.
Just now I've been going though a bad time with this COPD I've just got back from the nurse now, with another bunch of medication. Then I have to see the other nurse on friday, it drains you man, no energy. Anyway we have to keep going, take whatever comes and keep it all positive.
I wish I had never touched the fags now. We all say that eventually don't we?
But that idea you have is a must. As soon as is possible. :D
BTW that video is a very tasty piece of guitar work, the europeans have always had great players, we never get to hear of most.
Keep well pal and yes......one day. :D
