My son-in-law's brother has a blues band in Corpus Christi, TX. It is called the John Cortez Band (used to be 7 Day Blues).

He just got asked (and signed up!) to open for Chris Duarte on September 10th. He is excited and I am proud of him!

He is actually getting out of that Vaughan-a-be mode and starting to write some of his own material.

That vid is a little dated. His bass player has retired - shame, guy was real good. Used to play with the Lemon Pipers if anyone remembers them. Bob something, can't remember his last name.
