Well, I scored a 1962 Mustang neck for $5 in perfect condition and plan on getting the parts needed to make it one hell of a guitar. Any suggestions?

Is it in need of fixing up?
If it isn't & it's stock--I'd just make sure it was set up for how you play, and leave it stock.
If it's been modded before, or needs work--go for it.

And post pictures.

If the vibrato is still working--very nice--if it isn't I'd look for a replacement.
Pickups?
I'd stick with single coils, but you can go for higher output or vintage tone--or something in between--depends what you want to use it for.
