I like the color changes and the variations from one sunburst to another...in fact, any of the bursts are fine with me; I must admit that one of my favorites is the Gibson tobacco burst.

I'm waiting on a Sunburst Tele which I picked up this past week:

I just love the eye-catching colors of any sunburst--that's why I'm buying this work of art:

That's interesting. I didn't know Brian May had his own guitar line.

It is hard to describe but if I think guitar I picture it in burst in my head must be a childhood thing. lol I have four guitars in a burst 2 Wolfgangs one tobacco one cherry a Strat Ultra in Blueburst which is smokin but the cherryburst on the tele deluxe I got last month might be the best of them all it hypnotises me.

Although I like Queen music, I really hadn't given them much thought. Apparrently, that "Red Special" guitar Brian plays was actually custom made by himself in his garage.

Yep, he and his dad built it from various parts they picked up.
The actual guitar is made from an ancient Mahogany fireplace, the tremolo system rocks back and forth on a knife edge, the tremolo bar(or the white knob at the end) is made of one of his mother's knitting needles, the springs under the bridge are from motorbike valves, the inlay dots are made from mother-of-pearl buttons, and just generally a mish-mash of different items.

It just blows my mind to know that Brian and his dad luthiered such a fine instrument. 8D :D
