I've just bought a Boss ME-50 multi-effect stomp box... it's great, but a bit overwhelming!

I've reset to factory settings as a starting point - any suggestions for good settings or where to start? I play mostly 60's music with a Strat Plus.

My Fave factory setting? The "ideal for Blues" one (I think it's bank 4/patch 3?). Superb!

Congratulations on your 200th post! Sorry I can't help you on your Boss Me-50. I owned one for a short time but went back to analog stomp boxes, Good luck! I sold it to my son-in law and he loves it because he lives in an apartment and just uses it and headphones to practice.

Good settings? Out of the ME-50's 22 drive pedal models I find I always use Boss's emulation of their own OD2 pedal, not turned up too far. Gives me a classic type of crunch that I like.

I don't tend to use the patches. I set up some sounds I liked and saved them to patches - and then found I couldn't interogate them to remind myself how I got that sound! Very frustrating...
