I've been thinking about getting a new amp for some time but have not gotten to listen or play many lately. My question is this. If you could have any amp in the Fender lineup, which one would you pick to go with a strat? Hopefully this will give me good place to start. The Hot Rods seemed like a good choice to me as did the Deluxe Reverb. I'll probably be playing mostly hard rock and blues rock. Any input will be helpful. I was looking at lower priced models earlier, but no matter what I get my wife will probably give me grief so I may as well get it done in one shot and get the one I want on the get go!

In order of preference:

Supersonic
DRRI
Pro Junior

That is, if it had to be a Fender.

after seeing the EC ,SW show ,the 57 twin is made for strats IMHO. For everyone who has the show on disc or saw it ,its is a testament to the greatness of that amp

Hello Pineknot14,

Twin Reverb, would be the ultimate.
Sadly in my neighborhood{and most},
it'll put you at war with you neighbors.
Speaking from experiance on this.

I like my 15 watt Blues Jr. for my home.

And now a 5 watt Vibro champ.

Champion 600 is pretty neat too.

Aw heck, so many great amps
evaluate you needs and go from there.

Cheers.

Any Tweed based circuit. Tweed Deluxe 5e3, Tweed Champ. Not Tweed covered with a Jenson speaker a real Tweed based circuit. My Twin is really too clean to be an ultimate Strat amp. Ultimate Tele amp for sure. :D

Twin or super reverb.

Heard the supersonic demoed by Greg Koch sounded good but never used one myself.

A 59 bassman RI would be a nice option too.

Cyber Twin.

'Bought a 2001 used about 4 years ago and it is in this opinion, THE best for Strat. Incredibly versatile guitar meets incredibly versatile apmp.

Especially at home, faves are the C-T's iimitations of a '59 Bassman and '65 Deluxe Reverbl. Of course, the presets are a gob of fun to play with, as well.

my '66 bassman w/2x12 cab works pretty good! Put a few pedals in front of it, and it does anything I want it to - I love the sound of it with just my guitar and a cable as well!

If I was going with a new fender amp, id probably go with the '65 Deluxe reverb - Or one of the '59 bassman's

This is the type of question that has no unified one answer. It is like asking what is the best color. If you ask me its this.
