Nice Chet. How do you like it? I like experimenting with all kinds of slides. I have them made from EMT tubing, copper, brass, and a lot of bottle necks. I use a tile saw to cut them. I still like a commercial one called the "Mudslide". It's porcelain and sounds a little between glass and metal. The inside is porous and sort of wicks the moisture away
from your finger.

Anyway, congrats again and have a blast with it.

I'm loving it!!!! I broke out my collection of slides. I have a V-Pick slide, jet slide, metal slide, glass slide, and coricidin bottles. I will be checking out a few others too. I saw a jade one that looked quite interesting the other day.

Might be some interesting sounds with your E-Bow and that?

Congrats on the guitar - how do you like its quality?

I occasionally consider a resonator when they come up on Craigslist, but I'm wondering - is there anything unique to them if you're NOT going to play slide? Compared to an acoustic, that is? I'm still learning to play "regular" guitar, so picking up another technique isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I have a Dobro Model 25 home and I wish I'd play it more but I seldom pick it up. I always go for either Strat or Mustang on the rack.
