Is this a $@!&* or what but the Harmony Central forum had this up before we did. R.I.P George we owe a lot of this to you. I guess Leo was the first one waiting at the pearly gates to greet ya.

Don't get too bent out of shape about it. Fender PR likely needed some time to get up and running. We'll likely see a full page on this on Frontline.

There's a Fender News piece being written on this as we speak -- we want to take some time and get some meaningful quotations from industry members and whatnot in order to fully convey the significance of the man's contributions.

It's so sad when the pioneers of what know as the music industry pass on. They were the ones who had their fingers on the pulse of guitar players, bass players and amps created the lineage of what we call Fender. They took those steps where no one had ever gone, experimeneted with the electronics, the designs and most of all the tone that we all love. I am not sure they understood at the time what the future would hold and how important their work would be. God Bless and Rest In Peace George Fullerton, Thank you and say hello to Leo for us!

as the MJ media maddness settles down ,It would have been nice to have had someone do a news bio on Mr Fullerton and his accomplishments and how he and Leo truly changed the way music would be made for decades .

Saturday July 4th 2009....a black day, and a cursed day, as what can only be described as an "Icon" in the guitar playing world has passed beyond this world into the next, and although there is sadness in the hearts and minds of those who knew him, and those who knew OF him, Mr George W. Fullerton is somewhere high above, hunkered down next to his mint condition Tweed Bassman amp, slightly tweaking the controls to evoke the pure emotion that can will flow from his Telecaster, and looking over at Mr. Leo Fender, who realizes that the perfect marriage, the truest of friendships that was once broken, has once again been re-united never to be broken again. Thank you Mr. Fullerton for all your hard work, dedication to us musicians, and love and passion for your craft, your family, and your fellow man. You will never be forgotten, and will always be special to millions of musicians all over this world. My heartfelt consolation goes out to his entire family.....God decided that his time here was done,...and I'm sure that somewhere up there, Stevie, Jimi, Leo, Frank Z. and a host of others are just WAITING for him to walk in the room! Rock on Mr. Fullerton, and we'll carry your torch so that the fire NEVER dies out!
