George Fullerton died in his sleep Saturday night, July 4.

Mr Fullerton was one of the founding fathers of Fender musical instruments and he contributed many ideas to the development of the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precison bass and Jazz bass.

He recently had his own commemorative model Stratocaster made by the Custom Shop.

RIP

Tremendous loss. I was lucky enough to chat with Mr. Fullerton at the past few NAMM shows and he was simply a pleasure to talk to.

He certainly made major contributions at Fender, and even though he didn't stay with G&L for long, his contributions at Fender would have contributed to G&L and their work.

He was a good one for the guitar world.

Is this a $@!&* or what but the Harmony Central forum had this up before we did. R.I.P George we owe a lot of this to you. I guess Leo was the first one waiting at the pearly gates to greet ya.

We mourn his passing. But at least he lived to see what this company he helped start has become today, after it's ups and downs.

Good to know your own achievement - not everyone does.

Cheers - C
