My knobs in my squire have gotten pretty dirty is there a solution I can soak them in or is there a better way to clean them?

dude, why clean them? you're entering the "natural relic-ing" process. if you can get your name out there, your guitar is gonna sell for $5,000 and make gear snobs wet in their panties because its so vintage and has mojo tone!
then Fender is gonna replicate your guitar to look exactly the same with those very same dirt marks on the knobs, and everyone will buy the artist signature replica's for any insane, inflated, ungodly price because they think its gonna make them sound like you.

i say let it carry on. but if you insist, i suppose some alcohol and a safety pin might help
