That is a 1998 RG470. I bought it new sometime in late 98'. It's been through the wringer, but still manages to remain all stock. A great shredder and heavy music guitar.

Honestly, it's ok, but I'm going to be selling it soon. I got it for $800 with a case, and it is a beautiful guitar. If you look at it I put some Fender Tele chrome knobs on it, and eventually some chrome pickup rings. I really wanted the black and chrome contrast. But it isn't very nice to my back. When you play 2-1/hr sets it can really get to you.

One bit of advice I would give anyone who buys one is to leave the stock pickups alone. I bit on some of the custom pickups. I tried the Toni Iommi, Angus Young, Burstbucker 2 and 3, Burstbucker Pro pickups, and I gotta tell you, the stock pickups were just as good if not better than a few of the signature series Gibson pickups.

The guitar sounds great, typical fat neck, it sounds nice and hot in the bridge pickup. Just too much weight for me.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on that one!

The last one I found, one of the white ones, went for a lot more than I payed for the guitar! I may have to try make one, if i can't find a reasonably priced one.

Hey Twelve i have an extra teisco del rey badge in mint condition with the two nails. are you interested?
