You know, in looking at these pics, I'm always drawn to the Blue Strats. I'm always so amazed at how good Fender is with their blue colors. They just always seem to nail a deep rich blue color perfectly. The one I own is actually a blue burst paint job. I think at the time it was called "frosted", and it's just done so perfectly. It's a subtle fine metallic blending. Gotta love the Fender finish department. They're highly skilled, that's for sure.

deth your mission if you choose to accept it is to post a clear shot of that Teisco. I also have a '66 same model, that I am restoring. Some prior owner repainted it, and it just doesn't look right as a single colour. They also stripped the neck, and didn't refinish it, so I have my work cut out cleaning that up too.yours looks to be the original burst, I kinda want to copy it. I also need to track down one of those badges for the headstock.

Here's mine:

I had started wearin the paint down right above the pickguard so from there I started chipping away at the paint with a knife. It was a thick hard coat and it came off fairly easy. Im pretty sure its because its the Polly finnish. Fun project.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on that one!

The last one I found, one of the white ones, went for a lot more than I payed for the guitar! I may have to try make one, if i can't find a reasonably priced one.

Wow nice Alain, love the Performers in the one album, especially the green one. Don't see those around very often. The one (red one,) had seen in real life was beat to hell and back(a shame.)

You have a very nice collection. Do you have a favorite player? I imagine with that many, they can't all get much play.

My daily favourite is the CS'56 Fiesta Red Relic Strat; not the most expensive,by far (but Stil..)but the one which is the most suitable for the kind of music I play on a daily basis-The Shadows instrumentals-.Fitted with 12-52 strings...

Otherwise I have an Excel sheet to know when to change the strings and when I have played them.; So 3 per week are out of their case for"maintenance" as a guitar NEEDS to be played regularly
