that what got my attention, the designs were radical same with gibsons fire bird v and explorer in 50's-60's

the del reys are some of my favorite guitars. mine however the neck is warped and i must make do with what i got :) my luthier did improve on it much better than the condition i got it in.

im surprised hw light it is, does anyone know what type of wood they used?
I think mine is poplar. I am very lucky the neck on mine is dead straight.

Any chance for a shot of the back of yours? Is it bursted on both sides, or solid colour in the back. I am not sure how mine was branded. the guy i got it from thinks it was a Silvertone, but he is not sure. Teiscos were sold under a dozen or so brands, so I decided to try restore it as a Teisco Del Ray.

Also if any of you ever see one of the Teisco badges, like on his headstock, can you post here and let me know. They are pretty rare here.

the back is exactly the same as the front, as far as the badge there is one on ebay

i used to suffer from G.A.S. but i had to sell my rig when i moved to lawrence, so now im content with a usa strat and really great amp. they can play anything. i dont need me LP, squier, strat knock off, or schecter c-1 any more and the amp is way better than what i used to have.

Got GAS? click the link..

Picture before buying my 3-fender amps and without my newer Squiers. But not without my favorite guitar of all time. My 1992 Strat Plus Deluxe (right of center). First guitar I ever bought with my own money. I chose it over a PRS that a GC salesman desperately tried to sell me. When I told him I wanted the Strat, his exact response was, "Really?? Dude. I'm tellin' you, the PRS is the better guitar.." But a true musician knows when a guitar feels right to them. To this day I swear this Strat kicked the holy hell out of that PRS. The Blue and Silver Laces ( pat-pend) together is one of the greatest blues sounds I've ever heard and stiil get to enjoy.

There was a thread a while back that if I remember correctly, asked what would be the last guitar you would own. The last one standing would be that one. Even over my '57 RI ( the first guitar I ever owned, still have it, not in the pic). I got the '57RI as a gift, but I earned the '92 by my own hard work.

I personally like these kinds of topics. Every piece of your collection has a story behind it.

nice collection man, i really dig that board as well lol.

is that a esp? the one in the center looks like an esp lol.

ESP is one of my favorite guitars aside from fender.

I like these topics as well, because like you said every piece as a certain history to it.

Based on looks--I'll take the one in the middle... :D

Here are mine from several years ago-

My Les Paul has different pickups in it and has all the other parts that are missing in this picture.

nice set up kash, like the black fender.

I couldnt get used to the bulky design of acoustic guitars. But the sound is awesome.

Haha, thanks!! :P

Oi, the sound that comes from that guitar is unlike any that I've heard. Absolutely breathtaking. :D
And yeah, when I played an acoustic for the first time, I was blown away by how hard it was to get used to it for the first few minutes!! :D

Thanks, and that's correct - she's the bass player. I picked up the Squier Affinity Strat for her, as she wants to learn a little guitar too.
