two years lol.

The teisco i paid 75 at a estate sale, this i rarely play as its very vintage and there is some slight warping.

The epiphone i got for free from my professor a while back, as he hates epiphones and he got that as a gift from a distro guyhe knew in the business. the others i got on ebay at very affordable prices most i paidf under 500, the most expensive is the jag i paid full last yr from gc and most recently they raised the price.

The best sounding guitar imo is my truckster and prs, i do plan on swapping my pups in my strat with laces or sd

The Epi is a Custom Plus w/ flame maple cap it was made in 2004 by Saein and in 04 they made them with a Maple neck not the Mahogany as most and even now they are Mahogany. Hard to find its the best 799. guitar I ever bought I gave my Son My Gibson LP and kept this for myself.
The Strat with the one Humbucker is FRS Straight Six from last year.

deth your mission if you choose to accept it is to post a clear shot of that Teisco. I also have a '66 same model, that I am restoring. Some prior owner repainted it, and it just doesn't look right as a single colour. They also stripped the neck, and didn't refinish it, so I have my work cut out cleaning that up too.yours looks to be the original burst, I kinda want to copy it. I also need to track down one of those badges for the headstock.

Here's mine:

Thanks. I guess it is not exactly the same, but it's very close so it will make an excellent guide for repainting. i think I might go with cherry instead of the amber though, i think that might look really cool.

teisco's had a few different models in the same year. I believe mine is a 66, as i believe the model number or serial has the yr 66 at the end.

i saw a del rey logo on ebay going for a lil over 125usd!!!

i would google del rey logo to get a original for less

Who knows how many different Teisco Del Rays they made? It seems they all are a little different.

True they sold under a lot of names. I no some Kay's and Silvertones were and even kingstons and Kents as well. They were like introduction student guitars mostly. Even some Sears guitars. I just look at some of them and think WOW because of the futuristic looks they applied to many of the designs. It was the space age of the 60's and early 70's.

the del reys are some of my favorite guitars. mine however the neck is warped and i must make do with what i got :) my luthier did improve on it much better than the condition i got it in.

im surprised hw light it is, does anyone know what type of wood they used?

I think mine is poplar. I am very lucky the neck on mine is dead straight.

Any chance for a shot of the back of yours? Is it bursted on both sides, or solid colour in the back. I am not sure how mine was branded. the guy i got it from thinks it was a Silvertone, but he is not sure. Teiscos were sold under a dozen or so brands, so I decided to try restore it as a Teisco Del Ray.

Also if any of you ever see one of the Teisco badges, like on his headstock, can you post here and let me know. They are pretty rare here.
