Similar to Nikininja, this has been a big week for me, too. After losing my job in February (after 15 years), I was blessed enough to find another great job. I just finished my first work week at the new job. Included in that is the relocation from Austin, TX to Pittsburgh, PA (just north, actually), which the new company is paying for. The transition is very difficult, but I am really excited about the change ... and better yet ... the ability to make some good money once again!

Oh you naughty boy, you...

I just looked at a map: it's a bit of a schlep over from Pittsburgh to Souderton PA - but it'll be worth it. Seems you need to take Highway... Seventy-Six. (That's kinda disappointing...)

Anyhow. Congrats on the new job. Being out of work is crap, isn't it? Welcome back to the world of the living.

Now. Buy more gear!

Cheers - C

Congratulations!

Like my father used to say, "With jobs, you have to go where the money is."

Welcome to Pittsburgh, the most livable city in America ^^(Whatever the f*** that means)

I think you'll find it nice here, albeit quite a bit different from Austin

Sorry you lost your job, glad you got another. I used to enjoy my road trips when moving, especially if the company is paying. Best wishes on the new job, PA is a little colder than Texas in the winter. Buy some winter cloths before the winter hits.

Welcome to Pittsburgh! Some things you must do:

1. Visit PNC park for a bucco game. The team struggles, but the ballpark is amazing. Don't forget the Primanti's sandwich.
2. Ride the incline.
3. For your guitar needs, visit Pittsburgh Guitars on the southside. It's the coolest shop with the greatest people.

Good luck with the new job!
