You can blame the Zyban for the funky bit with your "normal" brain functions. I have seen family members experience the same reaction. I guess there is a point where the nicotine is gone and the Zyban is working too well at repressing urges. Does that make sense? Anyway, yer done good kid, we are proud of ya'.

Congrats!

I think your bang on with that assesment mate. I was catatonic half the time. Lights are on but no ones home. I noticed my appetites for coffee, beer, food all dissapearing. Conversation was becoming impossible as i couldnt remember 5 minutes previous. I didnt like the after effects and its effects beyond the first 3 days of the quit are questionable. But in truth i owe a lot to it. I dont think i'd have mustered the courage to stop without it. Whether that be a imaginary effect or a real one, it worked.

Congrats. Have you noticed how much people who smoke stink? It still makes me sick to be in the same room as a smoker. OMG try being in a good restaurant and people are smoking...YUK! I glad the Zyban worked for you.

Wikepedia offers an extremely detailed review of bupropion FYI.

A friend of mine's doc once said that quitting cigs was tougher than
quitting heroin. He smoked 3 packs of Kools/day until he passed
about 4 years ago.

Keep up the good work mate!!!

I used to travel with a guy whose younger brother, so addicted to nicotine, screamed for his cigarettes until the moment of his death from lung cancer.
