Local radio station was giving away a Gibson Les Paul Studio customized by Sam Bass. Sam is the guy that does the Nascar art and painted the Gibson that Kyle Busch smashed after the Nashville Superspeedway race.

Well - I won it!

Never wanted an LP bad enough to pay Gibson's price for it - but if someone wants to give me one...

That's the good news.
Bad news is I won't be able to play it for a while. Actually, I haven't been able to play for a couple of months now due to a bum right shoulder. Going to have surgery on it on Monday - six weeks in a sling.
But I will have something to look forward to - a new guitar to play as part of physical therapy!

So if you don't see me posting for a while it's because I don't type worth a flip with just my left hand.

TC

Congrats to you on winning that Les Paul. If you like, I'll play it while you are recuperating... sorta warming it up.

Congrats, Troublecall. It's nice to see a free guitar go to someone who will appreciate it, unlike that NASCAR driver or the guy who won and promptly sold the "Rocker" Stratocaster.

Recover quickly from your surgery so you can rock on! 8)

Dude, congrats! :D Good luck with your shoulder, it's got to be hard to keep away from a guitar for that long.

Good Win!

The only thing that I ever won is a cube radio in 1972.

Whoa - total cool! That's completely neat; congrats to you!

Good luck with the surgery. I seem to remember you keep an enviable beer collection? I bet you can attend to that with your left hand...

Cheers - C
