We get a lot of British programming here in Canada. Not just on BBC Canada, but on a few of our other cable channels, plus whatever shows on the American cable channels I get as part of my package.

When I was home sick one day in Feb. (the only sick day i have has from work in 10 years! ) I watched Spaced back to back , I think it may actually have been the entire run.

is shameless the one about the alcoholic father, and his messed up family? if so i have seen a couple episodes.

I often wonder if people from other countries get any of our programming, and if so what they think. Most Canadian TV is boring, but I think we also have some of the craziest series ever. Like Trailer Park Boys, i can't decide if it is the worst or the best TV show ever. Definitely one or the other.

I 've watched every episode of shameless. Boy, the father is really shameless!

Wow, really? Excellent - never thought that one would travel!

The first couple of series were the best, though they kept the standard high for a long time. We found series one was available on a Region 1 DVD and sent it to my uncle's family in Boston. It kinda made their hair stand on end - but they seemed to like it...

BTW: the father in Shameless is played by David Threlfall, a seriously good actor. He's the type who changes himself completely from role to role so's he's totally unrecognisable. He was in a very fine HBO film about the Nazis called Conspiracy - but I only discovered it was him from the cast list.

Enjoy! - C

What's "Nude Practice" about?

Hi stratmansteve: are we talking about Sarah Alexander again there? Been entering her name into YouTube by any chance...?

If so, Naked Vets was a regular feature in a sketch show called Armstrong & Miller. I could only find a very tame 14 second clip on YouTube - and I know that some here are sensitive about nudity so I didn't link to it. But it's findable for those as want to...

The shtick was that they are all stark naked while performing an apparently serious script about a veterinary practice. At first the naughty bits are tastefully hidden by stratigically placed domestic items, as in that YouTube clip. But week by week "inadvertently" more and more gets shown, till - how can I put it? - the actors have no secrets left.

Really, I think the leads/writers Armstrong and Miller just wanted some sort of excuse to get undressed with Sarah Alexander...

Cheers - C

PS ...Or perhaps that wasn't what you were talking about at all...

Rest in peace, Mollie Sugden.

Though you should be aware, some Britons reading this are squirming with embarrassment at the idea that particular low rent sitcom should be known beyond our shores. Oh the shame of it...

I'm surprized anything bothers you since they let Freddie and the Dreamers out of the bag.

I hope you'll go lite on me with the comeback-

No, that's what I was talking about. I think A&M had a good plan.
