RIP Carl Malden.

Man, if I was famous I would be looking over my shoulder to see if Death is near. So many so fast.

He was in many iconic films. He was great at what he did, which was support the main character. Sometimes he would almost steal the scene away from the star. It depended on the part.

Ya know, sometimes when people, (famous or not) get to be that age, they sort of get forgotten. When I saw the story on the news tonight, my wife commented that she didn't know he was still alive...

That's a shame, isn't it?

Rest in peace, Carl Malden, one of the great actors, I remember him from many movies, only the other day I was watching 'Gypsy' and I can recall seeing that one at the cinema as well, early sixties.

97 years old.... WOW !!! Imagine  the stories he had about Hollywood. If I was Oprah Winfrey, I would try like hell to get the oldtimers from Hollywood 8) together ( if they were able to ) and do a 3 hour special. People like Olivia De Havilland who starred in Gone With the Wind from 1939, her sister Joan Fontaine, Shirley Temple, Mickey Rooney, Jackie Cooper and others. To me, these people are interesting who lived in a fascinating era. Todays actors for the most part are just boring, cookie-cutter alike lightweights. Same with music - pretty soon they'll be no Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Everly Bros and others. It would be GREAT to get them together, talk about rock in the early days and perhaps play a tune or two. This would be worth watching, listening to and savoring !!! :D

ps - it'll never happen though :(
