If i were you, I would go to your local guitar store and try out all types. I played a 60s RI this weekend and it sounded great. I play the same type of music too. I would look into that. Or an epiphone casino isn't a bad guitar either.

DEFINATELY the 72 deluxe telecaster. i was just at guitar center today and played a paul reed smith custom 22 and the new les paul line up: traditional pro, traditional, and standard. all three. and im still diggin the tele. plan on buying 2 eventually.

but i already kind of have my own style and sound.. and a tele works best for me. if you are still searching for something that sounds like what you want... go the route of a tele.

hey guys!
im looking for a second guitar. right now i play a Squier Affinity Strat and this little practice amp. i need some suggestions for a new guitar and amp.
i mostly play blues and blues rock. im thinking about getting a blues jr but im lost on the guitar part.
Thanks!

Consider a Korg PX5D, it has modeling for single coils and humbuckers along with amp and cabinet modeling....

I can make a Strat or Tele sound like a LP through a Marshall Plexi w/ 2 4x12 cabs. 8)

I may as well suggest a guitar too. I would have never said this 6 months ago but go plug a MIA Standard Tele into a nice tube amp. 8)
PS Don't change the Alnico V pickups!!

If you can swing it, grab one of those Gibson SG Standards for that new low price (likely even cheaper than the going $1200 this weekend). Those are nice guitars. And the new low price is going to change at some point.
