OK, I just gotta say that I am going to see BB King in November, and I cannot wait. The man is 82 years old, and I... *sniff*... I'm just SO honored.

I saw him when I was 6 or 7 (I'm 14 now) the bad news: I accidentally slept through it!

I wish I could see him again!

Have Fun!

My Grandpa has a 60s Gibson 335 Autographed by him. All the trim pieces use to be white but it is all Ivory so it has started to turn that Yellow color. Its an amazing guitar. Here is a picture of him playing it for a show we did a month ago.

i saw him on his "80th Birthday Tour" and it was a hell of a show. The man is a true showman. You would never know he's 82 I promise. You're really in for a treat.

One of the best quotes I have heard came from him as he was killin' it on "The Thrill is Gone" as he closed the show. He stopped playing and let the band quiet a little bit and he started talking about how he is getting older but he has always and will continue to love music and said "I'm gonna do this 'til the day I die folks", and then just gave it all he had into another solo. Anyone with a heart in that venue felt that man's soul.

My sister took my young niece to see B.B. King last year.

She loved the music, and after the show stopped my sister to ask if she thought he had any albums they could buy.

Kids

I've been a member for a while now but haven't really participated in conversation. Anyways, which show are you seeing? I'm seeing him in Burlington, VT on the 16th.

I saw him July 24th at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL with Al Green and Chaka Khan who replaced Etta James. I always seemed to miss his shows when he came to the area. Really glad I finally got to see him.

Yeah, I've heard that he really puts on a great show. I'm really looking forward to seeing him. I've been a fan for a long time and he's done two concerts in the past few years that were near me but I just couldn't make it due to other reasons. This time nothing stands in my way. I can't wait.

The first time I heard B.B. King in concert was in Saginaw, Michigan sometime in the early 1970s. He opened for--would you believe it--Alice Cooper! It's a funny world sometimes.

My son and I were also among the million people (no joke!) who came out to hear Mr. King play on the St. Louis riverfront two summers ago.
