Wow a lot of you guys came in late.On the other MJ post I said it right of the bat. The guy was a brilliant writer singer ,dancer the whole ball of waxbut right after he sttled out of court for 21 million with that dentist he was a pedophile so cut the crying and the Brad make him take it down nonsense. I would of used every dollar I HAD AND WOUND UP HOMLESS TO CLEAR MY NAME OF THE WORST THING YOU CAN BE CHARGED WITH, You know why he settled out of court because he was guilty. And there is not a doubt about it.Some people are going well his father beat him ,well his brothers got the same beatings and did not go around molesting kids.So stop the tear jerking before I vomit.

Michael Jackson died many years ago. Quite sad how life eclipsed his immeasurable talent and that he could not have been saved from his demons. :(

Some how I have to agree with this. I'm the old time fashion motown guy. Who loved the Jackson 5.

Hey Straycat......fyi....that 1st boy's mother had lied under oath before in what I believe was a welfare fraud case.....and the father was a notorious wannabe of questionable character who tried to sue Jackson again in 1996 after the 1993 out of court settlement. He also named Lisa Marie, Sony, Disney and 300 unnamed persons as co conspirators for violating a gag order that was part of the 1993 settlement. It may have been easier to pay this clown off in 1993 than go through a drawn out trial. In 2006 the young man in question filed a restraining order against his "Dad" after his father hit him in the head from behind with a 12 pound weight, maced him and allegedly tried to choke him. It seemed the kid at 25 wanted to leave his Dad and take the dough with him. The only people who know the truth about any alleged molestation are Jackson and the kid. When you have that much cash and are that visible, creeps will come out of the woodwork trying to stick their hand in your pocket. Jackson may have been guilty of being naive and too trusting. And regarding the second case, he settled with the 1st accuser for 20 mil plus, probably because it was cheaper and easier than going to court, the 2nd time Jackson stood and fought and was acquitted. The 2nd parent/slobs probably thought they too could settle out of court for an easy payday.....

So why not pay off the legal system and have yourself declared innocent like he did in the farcial 2nd trial?

Would you have trusted him with your children?

If I thought that someone had interfered with my children, no amount of money would shut me up. Settlements out of court have no bearing on whether or not a person is guilty of a crime, they just show that neither party wants to take the matter further.

[quote="Maxwell Street"]

The operant phrase in the entire affair is:

"Stupid is as stupid does"......the lot of 'em.....Jackson, his entourage, his advisors, his sycophants and hangers-on....everyone who used him.....to permit such dumb goings on, even if innocent. His legal exposure was terrific.

Sleepovers :!: :!: What a dumb $@! Could have built a guest house and had families stay together over night apart from his personal rooms. That's the way you do it.

Maxwell and Mondo lets take another celebrity with money lets say Donald Trump. Do you think for one minuete he would settle out of court for 21 million. Lets be real even people with that kind of money and where going back a good amount of time so the money was worth more are just going to shell out money like that when if he was innocent he could of hired a powerhouse team of lawyers that would of destroyed that kid and his father on the stand, would of ate them for breakfast. But he did not ! You know why they had him dead to right .When Jackson got his Discovery (if you dont know law) thats the evidence there going to use against you in court he settled. End of story This is no super model hitting someone with a shoe. Those are cases you settle out of court. This is the worst crime you can ever be charged with, anyone else would of been so outraged they would of wanted to destroy that kid and his father and make sure they cleared there name of all doubt. Not compensate them with 21 MILLION DOLLARS . Chris Rock said the only place he would let Michael Jackson watch his kids was on TV.

do you really think he's dead, It is all a stunt so he doesn't have to pay all his outstanding debts. The person on the stratcher was a celebrity look alike, Micheal Jackson is on his way to a private island.

And if he is really dead, I hope he's in hell for playing with boys.

He'll never be hanging with Hendrix, Holly, Vaughn or Cash.

ok give the guy a break, he had 50 upcoming shows in London and they were all almost sold out.

and no, he's not Hendrix or Cash, he is Michael Jackson.

Give a child molester a break - NEVER ! ! ! ! I could care less, even if he sold out a million shows, I can only hope he is where he belongs, moonwalking with the likes of Dahlmer and Bundy

I am in no position of knowing whether the accusations were real or not.

All I can judge is his shows. And the fact is that even today no one can give shows like he did! He had a HUGE music influence and inspiration and you can't deny that, even if you don't like his music.

I didn't know him personally, so I can't say more about his character. Yes he did some really bizarre things in his life... but I'm not the one who will judge him.

Aside from recruiting two good guitarists i cant see that he had any musical influence at all. It was sweetshop music targeted at kids.

I see your point of view Niki, and it is the entertainment BUSINESS after all, but you likely constitute majority of one in this. Not that I agree, but the pundits in the press over here are touting him as having made the most significant contribution to his art forms since the bread slicer was invented.

What ails me is that this business will likely get more coverage and air time than the assassination of Jack Kennedy. It just doesn't stop :?

People need to get a life and move on.
