Should we, or could we, have a Fender classified group. Couple of the non-guitar forums I belong to have a classified sections. You get to know and trust the members and I've seen some pretty fair deals offered.

It be knod of nice to know when Alain parts with one of his guitars  it could be offered here. Or used pick ups, cases, well you know.

Just saying.

Oh, man!... I think the reason why there's no Classified section is because it's against the Forum Rules to sell stuff on here...

I'm sure some of the others who have been here longer than me could confirm it...

It would be a huge liability for Fender.

you could always say "hey I've got this for sale on ebay" if you're interested go there. Or is that too close to offering things for sale on the forum?

personally, I dont see any problem with a classified section, except to the extent Fender doesnt want to support sales of anything that isnt new Fender. Its their website after all.

What I was envisioning was the ability to sell within the "forum family," not commercial enterprises. You know there are members here that you can trust and are honest beyond reproach. That's who I would like to buy a used guitar from. Not out on ebay. A lot of us know the history behind others guitars. Besides a lot of us sell our guitars so that we can buy another one. That's good for Fender and the forum member.

There is already enough of these places around the net. Fender Admin's don't need the headache of having to police such a section because as we all no there are people on every such sales site trying to rip someone off.
