I think topics on religion and racism end up being posted here too often. Music is my escape from that $@!& and I personally love reading and occasionally postin on this forum.

Anyone agree to leave it out and stick to the music and the wonderful advice and opinions that we usually offer each other?

I cant remember the last post about religeon or racism. That said theres plenty of guitar and amp forums here that are limited to guitar or amp talk. THis section has traditionaly been to air whatever you want.

I don't recall seeing one either. If I was to see one I'd ignore it or report it if it was offensive.

I don't remember any myself.

Maybe you've confused us with the big G guitar forum.

Hello Celtic Cyclonus,

I've been posting here for about a year and a half,
and I do not recall any threads of that nature.

Cheers.

I must have missed the postings that you are talking about  Religion and Racism I don't recall any such post. The occasional post on economics our leaders and World events yes but but the great members of this forum are always civil and respectful of such things no matter what there beliefs are.

Our band was up for a gig at The Door. It was $500 a person. We didn't want to pay that, so we went to a Scientology gig. They hooked us up to tin cans and wires, what was up with that. We left there and went to a Hare Krishna gig. We liked that one though because all the girl groupies were already in sheets.

This has been a parody (of course). I appreciate the fact that we don't talk about religion, racism, or politics here.

God Bless (or Namaste, whichever you prefer).

I really don't believe anyone comes to the Fender forum to speak of religion

I've been here a little while and I can't even remember much (if any) postings like that. If I did, I'd just ignore them. Just like I ignore the equally idiotic...

Strat vs Tele: Which is better? Pick one! :)

If I don't like it, I don't read it. I'd rather have that option than to make too many "laws" if they're unnecessary.

I have seen very little on religion posted here and that's fine but the relationship we all have with our savior is all that matters in that area anyways. Now who said something about a newly designed Strat?

Nobody that would be rediculous.

Don't think I can recall anything like what you are talking about either...
Ofcourse there sometimes are disagreements, but they are usually settled quickly or just effectively ignored...

Hmm. I saw this recent thread, which I certainly took to be on religion from its first few posts:

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=23199

As far as I got with it, anyhow. I tend to give up fairly fast on the religion and politics threads.

By the time you're my age you probably already know what you think about that stuff, and it so often seems to divide people rather than bring them together.

But if we must have a thread on religion, let it be this one:

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=22078

Cheers - C

I wouldnt care either way, personally I am open to discuss any subject. I'm hard headed enough that brain washing doesnt work, I dont get offended and one can always choose to hit the browser back button.

I mostly enjoy the (sometimes wacky) discussions we have here. It's still a great and informative Fender site from which I've learned many things about my guitars, playing them and music in general.

Sometimes we will go off on some tangent but the thing is...you don't have to participate unless you want to. We all have the freedom to ignore.
